Standard Media Training
We ensure that every participant on our media training courses leaves as a more confident and effective communicator because they know both what to say and how to say it in an engaging and compelling way. We can come to you if you prefer but our own central London TV and radio studio facilities offer a genuine media environment for training, free from the distractions of the office.
Our intellectually rigorous training process helps identify your story, stress tests it and provides participants in our training sessions with the skills and techniques to tell it effectively in such a way that is relevant to them in their specific roles. It allows them to contextualise any media interview or other communication; all spokespeople thus present a consistent narrative about your organisation.
Our training sessions typically:
- Identify an overarching narrative to your presentation that is emotionally engaging and compelling for the audience;
- Equip spokespeople with an understanding of the media, what makes news and journalist questioning techniques, along with an insight into body language issues and the skills to turn negatives into positives and avoid jargon so as to maximise the value of the coverage for you; and
- Offer lots of practise in short and longer form face-to-face and ‘down-the-line’ print, radio and television interviews in the style of the media you anticipate facing. These are recorded and analysed together so that all may learn from each other.
